Splash Fabric is coated with a water-based urethane. This protective layer is rolled out in the factory and heat-set to the cotton. The result is a creamy, durable, soft, and all-around fantastic-feeling fabric. The coating will eventually biodegrade, but that won't happen until you are long done using it. Highest standard for food-safety and eco-friendliness, this is truly feel good fabric. Not Your Grandma's Oilcloth!

amazing fabric

I am so impressed with the quality, feel and choices of splash fabric laminated cotton. In fact, since the shape of my table (oval), isn't available in a table cloth, I'm considering buying just the fabric and finding a seamstress to make me one.

You won't be disappointed!

So many ideas, so little time

The fabric is gorgeous, soft to the touch and easy to sew, cuts nicely with a rotary cutter or normal scissors. I've used it to repair and brighten a stroller lining that had shredded, made treat pouches for dog walkers, and I'm about to embark on a table cloth and aprons. I love the patterns, the instructions are clear. Just deciding what fabric to put with what has been hard as so many go together beautifully. Really happy to have found Splash Fabric at the Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair. Sewing has never been this much fun!

Surprised about the versitility

Received the sample pack as I was very curious about the product and am very pleased with the weight, pattern samples, and the quality! I am researching items to hopefully sew: eating utensil carriers, cosmetics bags, and swimsuit wet bags. I plan on sharing the samples with a sewing group in mesa Arizona this winter in hopes to spark more interest.

Designs

I like the fabrics My husband and I are making dry bags for our kayaking friends. I would like to see more floral, or nature designs, leaves, flowers, etc.

Ooo great idea! We'd love to see photos. And some floral designs are coming this summer, we can't wait for the poppies collection either!
